Who can take the test?

The Classic Learning Test is designed for high school students around 16-18 years of age who are applying for college. The CLT8 and CLT10 are designed for younger grades.

• CLT : designed for 11th/12th graders
• CLT10 : designed for 9th/10th graders
• CLT8 : designed for 7th/8th graders

CLT does not limit when students can take these exams, so it is up to the individual which test is best for them in their educational pursuits. We also welcome students who have taken a gap year (or several!) to take the exam.
